Culture and sensual delights have to go hand in hand for you? Same for us! That's why we decided to blend both in an awesome way and called that program "Opera House meets Brew House". Bayreuth is located directly at the "Beer and Castle Road", is rich in unique castle and park complexes, and is home of the "Margravial Opera House", listed as UNESCO World Cultural Heritage. At the same time, the town lies at the heart of the so-called "Gourmet Region Upper-Franconia" and is a center of Franconian beer brewing culture.

Guests and visitors can manage their visits to four different stations, featuring cultural and beer-related experiences, according to their own preferences: Get a voucher booklet and decide to redeem them whenever it fits your itinerary. That's what is included: World-class beer delights at Maisel & Friends in combination with a visit to the UNESO World Cultural Heritage site "Margravial Opera House" and Margrave Wilhelmine's "New Castle".

UNESCO World Heritage Site "Margravial Opera House" ranks as one of Europe's most beautiful and well-preserved baroque opera houses and is located at the center of Bayreuth's lively pedestrian zone.

The "New Castle", only a stone's throw away, invites you to explore its "Court Gardens". On a visit of the living spaces and the grand reception areas of the castle, which once was the Margrave's residence, decors made of mirror shards, stucco and floral spandrels bring the unique Bayreuth Rococo style back to live.

The afternoon is dedicated to enjoyment! Maisel & Friends open their gates to the world of beer brewing and invite you on a journey along the history of the brewery, from its beginnings to now - a unique combination featuring the former machinery and brewing hall, which are preserved in their original condition, the innovative brewing workshop and the manifold ways of enjoying beer.

All stations of the tour are easily accessible on foot. And the best thing about the tour is: Your visit does not have to be on a specific day.
