Art of brewing + street art = A perfect match!
Already in 2018, our highly coveted art beer edition could prove that art of brewing and street art are a perfect match: Brewing beer is incredibly diverse and there are countless possible combinations and that's why we think brewing can be seen as an art, too.And so, we came up with the idea that a beer brewed in an artful manner has to be decorated with an artistically designed label. That's why we always try to get internationally well-known artists onboard to jointly develop an idea for a beer of our art beer edition. In the next further step, our Maisel brew masters create a new beer specialty and the artist designs a matching label that shows the hand of its creator.

Artist: Hera
In 2018 and 2019, two great male artists had created the labels for our art beer. But in the year that followed, we were proud having inspired one of the most influential women of the art genre for our project. Frankfurt-born Jasmin Siddiqui, alias Hera, gained a foothold in the graffity community in her early twenties. Her distinctive writing style was marked by using characters who tell little stories. Her idiosyncratic esthetics is twofold: On the technical side, she blends spray can, dissolving wall colors and charcoal lines and on the textual side she combines poetry, melancholy and sarcasm.
Hera's work focusses on balancing the opposites. This concept is also reflected in Jasmin's alias Hera – named after the olympic goddess known for her destructive temper – which is in stark contrast to her real name Jasmin, a beautiful and mellow flower, plain and inconspicuous . In the numerous artworks she has created over the past 20 years she demonstrates that things allegedly small and weak can have an enourmous potential of power.
Some of the bigger artworks that transport this message are painted on facades in Sao Paolo, Moscow, Melbourne and Miami. For some of these she has joined forces with Falk „Akut“ Lehmann" with whom she has been cooperating as artist duo "HERAKUT“ since 2004.
But no matter if she decorates huge walls in big cities, creates complex installations in museums or designs the interior or exterior of her art beer, for her it is always about blending single elements until something unusual, surprising and yet harmonious emerges.

Motif: „Miss Hoppy“
Hera has decided to choose a delicate and yet expressive female face for our Artbeer #3t. One of the eyes of "Miss Hoppy“ immediately captures the viewer's attention. The other eye seems covered by a hop cone, which symbolizes that the beer was brewed with quite a generous helping of hops. One of Herakut's trademarks are poetic claims which embellish almost all of their artwork. For our art beer Hera could not have expressed it more appropriately: You will be exactly as hoppy as you decide to be!
