Brauerei Gebr. Maisel is "National Brewery of the Year" 2023
The Finest Beer Selection took place for the first time this year. The award got off to a brilliant start for us: seven of our beers cracked the 90-point mark, which was rewarded with the title of "National Brewery of the Year".
The happy faces of our beer sommelier Michael and our master brewer Markus were on display when the results of the Finest Beer Selection were announced in Neustadt an der Weinstraße. At the award, which is organized by Doemens and Meininger Verlag, we were able to impress across the board, scoring over 90 out of a possible 100 points for seven of our beers. It is also noteworthy that the award-winning beers can be assigned to different beer styles, which particularly highlights the quality and range of our beer specialties. Maisel's Weisse Alkoholfrei and Leicht each scored 93 points, as did Maisel & Friends Chocolate Bock and West Coast IPA. 91 points were awarded to Maisel & Friends Hell and Pale Ale, while Maisel & Friends IPA scored 90 points. This overall result secured us the "National Brewery of the Year" award - a title that is only awarded once in the entire competition and makes our entire team very proud. What ist the Finest Beer Selection?
The concept behind the Finest Beer Selection is a sensory excellence test. Each beer is individually analyzed aromatically and evaluated on the basis of a transparent 100-point scheme. Only the best beers of a year with a Finest Beer Score of 90 or more points make it into the exclusive circle of the Finest Beer Selection. The tasting is carried out by an international jury of experienced experts in a blind tasting. The concept is backed by Doemens and Meininger Verlag, two absolute experts with many years of experience in the analysis and evaluation of beers and the organization of highly professional beer tastings. WE DID IT AGAIN! We were also named Brewery of the Year at the Finest Beer Selection in 2024.
