We advocate honest craftsmanship which we practice with passion and enthusiasm. And we are very proud of our family tradition, which is characterized by a tireless innovative spirit. We love Bayreuth, our hometown - the place where you can experience our passion for beer.  At the same time, we regard ourselves as cosmopolitan, are open to inspirations from outside and are happy about every exchange with like-minded people as lived friendship is the foundation of Maisel & Friends.

Apart from beer, we are also enthusiastic about handcrafted goods and enjoyment of any kind: That's why our passion does not only cover the beer brands of Maisel & Friends, Maisel's Weisse, Bayreuther Bierbrauerei and Bayreuther Brauhaus but also includes the brands that we have initiated together with good friends. This comprises our Liebesbier Restaurant & Bar, where beer aficionados can taste more than 100 different beers, the Liebesbier Urban Art Hotel and our CoffeeManufactory Crazy Sheep, where you can gain insight into the craft of coffee roasting.

Spirit of innovation has molded all generations

All Maisel generations have demonstrated foresight, courage and the spirit of innovation. And every generation has always known what it needs to brew good beer: best ingredients, passion, creative handicraft, many years of brewing tradition, the desire to try out new things and above all: good friends who share and contribute to this passion and creativity with love. This tradition, which has become part of the Maisel & Friends philosophy, has been the foundation of our family brewery from the beginning on.

Today, Jeff Maisel runs our family brewery in its fourth gerneration. Our very drinkable beers with their strong character and the extraordinary taste add a fresh breeze to the glasses and every beer fans will surely find his or her own personal favorite beer.
